The first step is to choose a name. A name that is available online. I for example dream avout starting a job site in Ireland. After a long search for the available domain in the I found JobsBoard.ie and registered it for the new site: www.JobsBoard.ie

Dropped.ie is your best friend!
For those of you less familiar with it, Dropped.ie brings you lists of deleted (previously registered) IE domain names.
By reading the long list of expired domains you can basically look into other peoples thought process – and learn from them. If you get lucky, you can buy a domain that already has links to it from other web sites….

Jobsboard.ie is a very decent find. I’m almost tempted to put a few bob down on the Ann Summers job board just for the hell of it. Or at least I was until I had the buying mood dampened by the poignant site of constructionjobsireland.ie sitting there like a red headed step child.
